AFGRI Animal Feeds has an annual production capacity of
1,2 million tons making it one of the three largest animal feed businesses in southern Africa. Through the development and application of feed technologies the division ensures maximum profitability for dairy, poultry and other livestock producers.

The integrated Daybreak business, acquired in 2007, produces day-old chicks at its world class hatchery, through to value added poultry products ready for the Johannesburg retail and wholesale markets. The operation has a production capacity of 470 000 birds per week.

The Foods operation is a bulk supplier of edible oils and fats, soya and cotton protein for animal feed and texturised soya protein for human consumption.

AFGRI Producer Services offers a comprehensive range of products and services through a network of more than 60 retail outlets in both urban and rural areas, including the new concept stores, FarmCity. Retail stores offer farmers, small-holders and the general public an extensive range of agricultural, home and garden, outdoor and DIY products, including selected building materials.

Offerings include primary agricultural inputs, mechanisation equipment and services through regional structures. These structures also offer customers value added crop care solutions for crop protection, plant nutrition and cultivation.

John Deere equipment is supplied and serviced nationally through one of the largest franchises for this brand in the world.

AFGRI Primary Inputs processes or sources seed, agri-chemicals and fertilisers. These products, together with advisory services, are made available directly to primary producers through a network of agents.
